Hi, I’m Emily!

Owner + Head VA

I’m the girl behind Virtual Essentials! My passion to help people has been in me since a child and grew during my past work in the service industry working for luxury spas and hotels, and holistic health care. During my work I saw a need to help small businesses and entrepreneurs, I want them to grow and flourish to the best of their ability helping them achieve their dreams and give them more time to focus on the work that made them start a business in the first place. I use my broad range of skills and expertise in business management, technology, marketing, and web design to help the needs of each business I work with!

I reside in Northeast, Ohio with my husband Grayson, daughter Tillie, our Goldendoodle Ollie and 17 chickens who if I named them all you’d be here all day!

When I’m not working with business owners I enjoy cooking, gardening, and DIYing our fixer upper house creating the homestead of our dreams! I enjoy being outside in nature, and strive to learn something new every day, and most recently being more present with my loved ones especially in early motherhood.

Fun Facts:

  • I’ve always had a garden, we just moved to our property and I can’t wait to start the garden of my dreams this coming spring with my daughter in tow!

  • I jumped on the the sourdough bread making bandwagon and am the proud owner of my own homemade 4 year old sourdough starter, I’m not a pro bread maker but I’m getting better each time!

Meet Meghan

Virtual Assistant

Meghan is a longtime close friend and received a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Kent State University, she has honed her communication skills by specializing in social media management for a prominent union organization. With six years of experience, she gained valuable insights into corporate environments and managed social media and email communications for a company with over 30,000 members.

In 2024, she decided to embark on a new path to apply her expertise in a more personalized way, assisting small businesses. Meghan is excited to be a part of the team, where she will contribute to various aspects such as social media, business management, marketing, and web design.

She also resides in Cleveland, Ohio with her 4 year old son Mac, Fiancé Christopher and two dogs Rosie and Karie! When she’s not working she enjoys spending time with her son, walking the dogs or cleaning up after all 3 :) She enjoys sunshine, being a mom and most importantly feel fortunate for the life she has.
